Serengeti acts as lead investor in select control investment opportunities, with a guiding philosophy of deep value. Our current investments are African Champion Industries, Clark Sustainable Resource Developments, Kete Krachi Timber Recovery, Serengeti Forests, and Vida e Caffè (Ghana).
We take a long-term approach to the opportunities in which we engage, holding our investments for an average period of more than seven years. We invest significant time and resources in our portfolio companies, providing management teams with access to Serengeti’s franchise, expertise, relationships, and strategic network to accelerate value creation.
The principals of Serengeti have over 60 years of combined operational, advisory and investment experience, and our vision is to create value by investing in change created by industry trends, economic cycles or specific company circumstances. We are based in the region in which we invest, we invest significant amounts of our own capital in our portfolio companies, and our deep roots and continuous local presence give us a distinct advantage in sourcing and executing exceptional investment opportunities.
